This study helps increase the brand value of our managers. Will this lead to external attraction for our managers culminating in increased attrition?
Yes, this study does help in increasing the brand value of your managers. And this in turn increases the employability branding of your organisation. We expect better attraction of talent by your organisation following this study and subsequent recognition.
Though there will be external attraction for individual managers as well, the managers need to understand that this is not just a one time recognition, and the value here is not limited to recognition. The reports provided by us help in increasing manager effectiveness. The top recognised managers also get free access to Great Manager Institute™ mobile application, which is a lifetime digital coach for people management using data analytics and artificial intelligence to provide the right guidance.
We have an internal mechanism of evaluating performance of managers. Will this study create conflict with our study?
Our study is run independently of any other internal study. Our mechanism focuses on people management and does not take into account performance of manager in other areas. But we do consider overall effectiveness of manager as a factor while doing the final scoring. The same is gathered through an evaluation of the textual part of our survey.
Considering the above, we expect our rating of managers within your organisation to be similar to your internal rating of manager performance if the same if foolproof. Moreover, if you have an internal mechanism for such an evaluation, we do invite you to share the ratings with us as well. We will take the same into account while providing individual manager scorecards, though the same will not impact overall perception of the company.
As a participant of this study, you may choose to get recognised in either or all of the following manners: i) Recognition of your company as a Great People Manager™ Company (i.e. a company that nurtures great people managers), ii) Recognition and ranking of managers within your company, iii) Recognition of managers across companies.
Great People Manager™ Study is run separately and the survey framework used by us is different from the Great Place to Work Survey. The purpose achieved from one survey is different from the other. So even if you are engaged with Great Place to Work in some way, we suggest you to go for this survey as well. The number of statements used in our survey is less than 21 and that makes it easier to conduct, while bringing strong impact.
More importantly, this study can complement Great Place to Work study. Once you are aware of recommendations needed to improve people manager effectiveness, the same may help further in improvement of overall engagement. And, vice versa.
